Rainwater Harvesting Systems
The city of Sedep faces severe water scarcity, especially during the long dry seasons. This proposal suggests the installation of rainwater harvesting systems in public buildings such as schools, hospitals, and community centers to capture and store rainwater during the rainy season. These systems will help reduce the city's reliance on increasingly scarce underground water reserves and provide a sustainable source of water for essential services. The project includes setting up rooftop catchment systems, storage tanks, and basic filtration units to ensure the water can be used for non-potable purposes, such as sanitation and irrigation. This initiative will be particularly beneficial in reducing water stress during droughts.
